Burns made her debut on the television screen in 1995 playing the character Peg as a supporting role on the Spanish American teen comedy Out of the Blue (from 1995 until 1996). Burns was part of the Baywatch group in 1998. She then starred on the second Baywatch: Hawaii version until her pregnancy caused her to leave the series.
